Korčula island is famous for its wide gastronomic offer, which contains numerous fish and meat specialties, majestic white and red wines.
On the island most famous white wines are: Pošip(Čara,Smokvica), Grk(Lumbarda), Rukatac(Čara,Smokvica), and red wine Plavac(Blato). Pelješac peninsula offers one of world greates red wines Dingač and Postup.
Fish specialties are mostly Lobster, Oyster, Squid, Cuttlefish, Octopus, St. Pierre, Grooper e.t.c., while meat specialties are mostly all sort of meat roasted, grilled, or made on tradicional way under open fire "Peka".
